Philip Levens: A Veteran writer and producer
Philip Levens is a skilled TV writer, producer, and showrunner. He grew up in up in Lubbock, Texas, and attended The University of Texas in Austin before shifting to Los Angeles. He started his career as a writer/producer on the CW's “Smallville,” CBS’s “Wolf Lake,” Fox’s “Night Visions,” and NBC’s new “Knight Rider.” And he was executive producer, along with Jennifer Lopez, on Paramount’s “South Beach.”
He has also written projects for prominent personalities such as Ice Cuba, Will and Jada Smith, and Micheal Jackson. Further, he has also written for popular studios such as Marvel, Warner Bros, Universal, Disney, Imagine, Joel Silver and Lionsgate. He had a two-year deal with Sony Televisions to develop pilots.
He has sold 20 pilots to television networks-among them “Red Queen” for ABC, “Finders/Keepers” for the USA, “Nightwatch” for Fox—and modified the graphic novel Rest for NBC. His other works cover a serialized trial series for A&E called “The Accused,” “Deep State” for Televisa, as well as a pilot for CBS based on a popular Texas lawyer.
In the film, his conversion of the Patricia Highsmith novel, Found in the Street, was produced by John Malkovich. He also re-write the Wachowski Brothers’ script “Vertical Run” at Warners and writes a draft of the screenplay “Wonder Woman.”
